Watch New Movie The Brass Teapot No Survey on FULL HD Format

The Brass Teapot is a modern fable about money and the meaning of the American dream. Based on the comic book, The Brass Teapot is a feature film about John (Michael Angarano) and Alice (Juno Temple), who live in small down America. They are in their 20's, married, very much in love and broke. Once voted "Most Likely to Succeed," Alice struggles to make ends meet while her friends enjoy the good life. Her husband John, neurotic and riddled with phobias, just wants to get the bills paid. But an accident leads them to a roadside antique shop where Alice is spontaneously drawn to a mysterious brass teapot. It isn't long before they realize that this is no ordinary teapot and that perhaps they have found the answer to all of their financial woes. The Brass Teapot is a magical comedy that reminds us to be careful what we wish for. (c) Magnolia

Review For The Brass Teapot

Temple and Angarano, entertaining enough, never quite sell the idea that this goodhearted couple would be so easily transformed by greed.
Sara Stewart-New York Post

Without a human dimension to ground its construct, "The Brass Teapot" ultimately feels like an interminably stretched-out skit rather than a storybook lesson stained with blood and hurt.
Robert Abele-Los Angeles Times

Ms. Mosley, who directed from a screenplay by Tim Macy, struggles to fill her debut feature with a slender notion, but the premise defeats her, even if the story operates at the outset on the pleasure principle.
Joe Morgenstern-Wall Street Journal

The Brass Teapot too often devolves into stale slapstick ...
Stephanie Zacharek-NPR

There's not much depth to Mosley's debut, which is based on a short story by Tim Macy. But Michael Angarano and Juno Temple are an appealing pair as John and Alice, struggling suburbanites.
Elizabeth Weitzman-New York Daily News

Even The Twilight Zone would have struggled with the cutesy conceit of The Brass Teapot ...
Nick Schager-Village Voice

The screenplay falters, introducing ridiculous villains and featuring thorough lapses in logic in a blur of strained drama.
Robert Levin-amNewYork

Missing numerous layers of sickness, fearful of pushing a plot of pain on its audience, forcing them to study the complexity of unsavory desires with unlikable characters.
Brian Orndorf-Blu-ray.com

Wish-fulfillment black comedy engages through its winsome (if violent) premise and highly attractive leads, but shows some strain towards the end.
David Noh-Film Journal International

The story is set up and unfolds in a very subtle, nuanced manner that enriches each reveal.
Leland Montgomery-Paste Magazine

The Brass Teapot tries to force a moralistic, Twilight Zone-ish plot into an indie comedy, a task that proves impossible for first-time feature director Ramaa Mosley.
Josh Modell-AV Club

This dark comedy makes a few smart observations about the lengths people will go to snag the American Dream, but its satiric edge gets dulled rather quickly.
Tim Grierson-Screen International

If you happened upon "The Brass Teapot" on TV and it broke for a commercial, you'd probably change the channel.
Marshall Fine-Hollywood & Fine

Imbued with a buoyant mysticism, the film is more gag-friendly than idea-based, primarily relying on the considerable charm of its leads to ground its supernatural conceit.
Nick McCarthy-Slant Magazine

Heavy-handed, but you have to love that message -- "Greed causes physical harm" -- and the ways Juno Temple and Angarano sell it.
Roger Moore-Movie Nation

New Trailer For The Iceman

Review For The Iceman

This is a wise-guy opera with barely one memorable aria.
Keith Uhlich-Time Out New York

Shannon gives an unnerving performance as a man caged in a cruel apathy, maintaining a controlled façade that seems to twitch with barely sublimated distress.
Rebecca Moss-Village Voice

A finely chiseled thriller that reflects the cold-blooded efficiency of its murderous subject in every frame and detai
Justin Chang-Variety

The redoubtable Michael Shannon leads a superb cast in Ariel Vromen's compelling portrait of New Jersey career criminal Richard Kuklinski.
David Rooney-Hollywood Reporter

A nagging question looms over the entire endeavor: Do you care?
Laremy Legel-Film.com

The best straight-up, down low and dirty mob picture since "Goodfellas."
Roger Moore-Movie Nation

A grim, gripping, brooding and impressively performed film with a wonderful sense of time and location.
Mark Adams-Screen International

Harsh, gritty-and increasingly grisly-this true-crime story dramatizes the life and bloody career of contract killer Richard Kuklinski: just another suburban dad who never brought his work home.
Michael Sauter-Film Journal International

Michael Shannon has no interior to play with, since the film seems intent on ridding Richie of any emotion other than love for his family, and also no catharsis to build toward.
Tomas Hachard-Slant Magazine

With so many substantial performances under his belt, it's not accurate to tern Michael Shannon's exemplary work here as a "breakthrough performance." It is nonetheless Oscar-worthy.
Cole Smithey-ColeSmithey.com

Even though we all knew Michael Shannon would be perfect as Richard Kuklinski, he still manages to mesmerize audiences like we're discovering his unparalleled acting chops all over again.
Matt Donato-We Got This Covered

[Michael Shannon] is every bit as good as Robert De Niro or Harvey Keitel back in the day.
Staci Layne Wilson-Yahoo! Movies

As satisfying as it is on a number of levels, The Iceman's failure to shine enough light on Kuklinski's psyche prevents it from possibly achieving the greatness it aspires to.
Ian Gilchrist-HeyUGuys

Lack of originality and insipid screenwriting will soon read as the autopsy of this actively tiresome genre.
Sam Fragoso-Fan The Fire

This is Shannon's movie and underlines his status as arguably the most exciting US screen actor since Pacino and De Niro were in their heyday.
Geoffrey Macnab-Independent

The central story is excellent, and Michael Shannon gives a praise-worthy performance.
Geoff Chapman-IGN Movies

...a fairly standard biopic that's ultimately elevated by Ariel Vromen's stylish direction and a typically riveting performance from Michael Shannon...
David Nusair-Reel Film Reviews

Shannon is ferocious- one of the great criminal portrayals.
Chris Bumbray-JoBlo's Movie Emporium

The Iceman proves that a movie cannot get by on Michael Shannon's dark charisma alone
Bill Chambers-Film Freak Central

A drab, remedial gangster film.

Thirty years after graduating from high school, five former basketball teammates gather at the lake house where they celebrated their biggest victory to mourn the passing of their late coach. Over the course of the Fourth of July weekend, the five friends realize that just because they've all grown up and started families doesn't mean that they've lost that old spark. Adulthood is what you make of it, and no one at the lake house is eager to be the grown-up of the gang. Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Rob Schneider star in a film written by Sandler and Fred Wolf, and directed by Dennis Dugan (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, You Don't Mess with the Zohan). New Trailer For Grown Ups

Review For Grown Ups

Grown Ups is the perfect poster child for this maddening summer of movie mediocrity.
Rene Rodriguez-Miami Herald

The male fantasy of cheerleader spouse, well-adjusted kids and expanding waistline.
Joshua Rothkopf-Time Out

A benignly crude slice of family hysteria.
Joshua Rothkopf-Time Out New York

Lazy is the word.
A.O. Scott-At the Movies

It's not so hilarious that you need to rush to see it but not so bad that you will suffer unduly if you take a chance on its more-or-less family friendly charms.
Connie Ogle-Miami Herald

Grown Ups delivers precious few laughs for the sheer volume of comedy talent on offer.
Peter Debruge-Variety

The title mainly leaves one wondering when Sandler will chose to finally grow up and stop starring in this ongoing series of terrible comedies.
Jeff Beck-Examiner.com

Doesn't so much play like a film than random home movies of Sandler and his usual screen cronies on vacation.
Michael Dequina-TheMovieReport.com

Five forgettable characters reunite for a (lame) joke-filled weekend.
Sarah Sluis-Film Journal International

The second half of Grown Ups isn't good enough to dig its way out of the tremendous hole it's created for itself but it's far from the worse thing Sandler has ever made. Maybe in another 20 years he'll make something funny.
Joshua Starnes-ComingSoon.net

Grown Ups heralds a sad day for comedy nostalgists of a certain age. Call it the day the amusement died.
Mike Scott-Times-Picayune

Surprisingly, amazingly, bafflingly uncomedic and unhilarious.
Matt Neal-The Standard

There's almost no plot, and loads of schmaltz, but the hidden metaphors and cast chemistry makes this a worthwhile effort.
R. L. Shaffer-IGN DVD

A midlife crisis disaster more akin to Billy Madison in search of a second childhood than anything evocative of The Big Chill. Grow up already!
Kam Williams-TheLoop21.com

The shameless sentiment (a cute little girl wants to use the car GPS to locate heaven) and Sandler's ego-tripping (he's married to Salma Hayek, and he's a sure shot on the basketball court) interfere with the laughs.
John Beifuss-Commercial Appeal (Memphis, TN)

Despite some passable gags and a whole posse of middle-aged funnymen, Denis Dugan's comedy is about the least grown-up movie you could see.
Derek Malcolm-This is London

Not much more than an in-joke between the actors, this film is amiable but never funny. And despite some hackneyed moralising, it has nothing to say.
Rich Cline-Shadows on the Wall

You've seen these actors play these characters many times before, and better.
-Total Film

Full of obvious jokes and schmaltzy sentiment, Grown Ups is as much fun as watching endless home movies of people you really don't know very well.
Allan Hunter-Daily Express

Like The Big Chill with farting grandmothers...
Alistair Harkness-Scotsman

Sandler's abysmal script cooks up a bite-sized moral for the finale. Groan ups, more like.

Devil-may-care navy pilot Pete Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is sent to Miramar Naval Air Station for advanced training. Here he vies with Tom Kasansky (Val Kilmer) for the coveted "Top Gun" award. When not so occupied, Mitchell carries on a romance with civilian consultant Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis). Shaken up by the death of a friend, Mitchell loses the Top Gun honor to Kasansky. Worried that he may have lost his nerve, Mitchell is given a chance to redeem himself during a tense international crisis involving a crippled US vessel and a flock of predatory enemy planes. The story wasn't new in 1986, but Top Gun scored with audiences on the strength of its visuals, especially the vertigo-inducing aerial sequences. The film made more money than any other film in 1986 and even spawned a 1989 takeoff, Hot Shots. An Academy Award went to the Giogio Moroder-Tom Whitlock song "Take My Breath Away." ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

New Trailer For Top Gun

Review For Top Gun

There are elements that hold up - especially Cruise's blinding charisma. The aerial scenes are still thrilling, and perfectly suited to a giant screen. Everything else? Well, that depends on how nostalgic you're feeling.
Elizabeth Weitzman-New York Daily News

The aerial sequences in Top Gun are as thrilling -- while remaining coherent -- as any ever put on film.
Gene Siskel-Chicago Tribune

Whether you love Top Gun or hate it -- or hate yourself for loving it -- the fact is that when it became the top-grossing film of 1986, Hollywood in its infinite wisdom took all of the worst lessons from its success and overlooked what made it so... fun.
Chris Nashawaty-Entertainment Weekly

Top Gun is about the training of the Navy's best fighter pilots and their blooding in cold war incidents, and the only thing Director Tony Scott has not brought up to date is the story.
-TIME Magazine

Every moment is hyped for maximum visual and visceral impact, but Scott doesn't display the slightest bit of interest (or belief) in the actual characters and situations.
Dave Kehr-Chicago Reader

Set in the world of naval fighter pilots, pic has strong visuals and pretty young people in stylish clothes and a non-stop soundtrack.
Variety Staff-Variety

The unashamedly goofy 1986 dogfighting classic flips on the afterburners to make yet another pass on Blu-ray, this time soaring into the third dimension.
Phil Villarreal-OK! Magazine

It's still the same old Top Gun, retaining every frame of ridiculousness and emphatic acting that turned the Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer production into a legend.
Brian Orndorf-Blu-ray.com

The 3D is impressive considering it wasn't shot for that, and the sound delivers full throttle engine roars and the legendary soundtrack sounds as crisp as ever.
Mark Ellis-Schmoes Know

If you missed it in theaters the first time, it's probably going to be the best movie theater experience you'll have so far this year.
Kristian Harloff-Schmoes Know

An undeniably cheesy yet strangely appealing time capsule, with a little something for everyone provided we understand that it's all bubblegum.
Rob Vaux-Mania.com

Watching Top Gun again twenty five years after its release is still a dazzling and dizzying experience. You are not so much on the edge of your seat as flung around it as the on-screen action endlessly spins and soars.
Brian Henry Martin-UTV

Basically perfect, even it is perfect at one of the worst sorts of things a movie can attempt.
Tim Brayton-Antagony & Ecstasy

Among the first generation of films influenced by the cutting techniques of music videos, a progression of oversaturated, meaty images, embarrassing dialogue and awful music.
Burl Burlingame-Honolulu Star-Advertiser

This paean to hotshot Navy fighter pilots and high technology attracted mass audiences despite its familiar plot and characters so vapid they vanish from memory as soon as the house lights come up.
-TV Guide's Movie Guide

Tom Cruise classic still revs engines.
Heather Boerner-Common Sense Media

Watchable but rarely enthralling...
David Nusair-Reel Film Reviews

It is instantly recognizable - musical shorthand for anything Jewish, a happy party tune that you dance to at weddings, bar mitzvahs and even at Major League Baseball games. It conjures up wistful smiles, memories of generations past...and no shortage of eye rolling. But as audiences will discover in Hava Nagila (The Movie), the song is much more than a tale of Jewish kitsch and bad bar mitzvah fashions. It carries with it an entire constellation of history, values and hopes for the future. In its own believe-it-or-not way, Hava Nagila encapsulates the Jewish journey over the past 150 years. It also reveals the power of one song to express and sustain identity, to transmit lessons across generations and to bridge cultural divides and connect us all on a universal level. (c) Official Site

New Trailer For Hava Nagila: The Movie

Review For Hava Nagila: The Movie

An entertaining examination of the "kitschy and profound" song's cultural and historical origins.
Loren King-Boston Globe

It's a fun, nostalgic, informative journey.
Gary Goldstein-Los Angeles Times

The attitude is so much fun and the story so involving that a little naches is forgivable.
John Anderson-Newsday

Even the occasional bad jokes feel like part of this story.
Stephen Whitty-Newark Star-Ledger

What you get is an awful lot of filler, including every performer who ever sang "Hava Nagila," from Harry Belafonte to Glen Campbell using it as the flip side to "True Grit."
Farran Smith Nehme-New York Post

The filmmakers mix the playful and serious, with only occasional lapses.
Rachel Saltz-New York Times

It is annoying, frustrating, embarrassing, and irresistible, which makes it a perfect Rorschach test and intriguing metaphor for contemporary Jewish identity.
Nell Minow-Beliefnet

What does it mean? Do we really care? We should.
Ron Wilkinson-Monsters and Critics

Balancing the anecdotal with the informative, this charming docu at once celebrates and explains the origins of the iconic Jewish tune.
Emanuel Levy-EmanuelLevy.Com

As one interviewee says the song "is a melody that evokes new life, hope, and joy." The song does that and so does HAVA NAGILA (THE MOVIE).
Mark R. Leeper-Mark Leeper's Reviews

Fun and illuminating...The movie as well as the song serve as fitting, entertaining testaments to the resilience of the Jewish people.
Fr. Chris Carpenter-Movie Dearest

Entertainingly traces the origins of the ubiquitous song and how it became worldwide kitsch [but] gets wearyingly redundant like a party that has gone on too long.
Nora Lee Mandel-Film-Forward.com

Everything you ever wanted to know about Hava Nagila but were afraid to ask, except:: 'What's the deal with the ritual of raising a chair in the air like you don't care?'
Kam Williams-NewsBlaze

One of those rare, crowd-pleasing documentaries that compels you to tap your toes and leaves you with a great big smile on your face from ear to ear upon exiting the theater.
Avi Offer-NYC Movie Guru

Comprehensive yet lighthearted dissection of one very popular song is a pretty surefire audience winner.
David Noh-Film Journal International

Grossman deserves kudos for this unique nonfiction celebration of a timeless musical favorite. And as I never get to say in my Episcopalian church services: Mazel Tov!
Phil Hall-Film Threat

The doc can at times feel like you're wasting your time on a subject you might wish you had only accidentally crossed paths with briefly on Wikipedia.

New Trailer For Dark Skies

Review For Dark Skies

Time and again, Stewart squanders the opportunity to do anything remotely interesting or worthwhile ...
Tom Huddleston-Time Out

There's little to fear from this rather tame genre outing.
Justin Lowe-Hollywood Reporter

Dark Skies is sort of supernatural, but it's really more super natural....[it's] about the fragility of family, a muted meditation on how precious it is.
Stephanie Zacharek-Film.com

Stewart has some lofty ambitions, some of which he almost fulfills.
Alan Scherstuhl-Village Voice

Those elements are employed with consummate dexterity.
Andy Webster-New York Times

Dark Skies is a bore that even the most forgiving genre buffs will find difficult to defend or endure.
Peter Sobczynski-Chicago Sun-Times

It could be a test case for copyright law.
Ed Whitfield-The Ooh Tray

Expectations of originality soon cloud over, leading towards the kind of quick ending at 97 minutes which kills any sign of blue sky thinking.
Graham Young-Birmingham Mail

It's never uninteresting.
Alistair Harkness-Scotsman

A moderately effective supernatural tale, an allegory for our anxious times in which a suburban American family appears to be targeted by some malign force that is, as we used to say, "not of this world".
Philip French-Observer [UK]

A baffling bore.
Christopher Tookey-Daily Mail [UK]

Zero points for originality, but interestingly messy at the same time.
David Jenkins-Little White Lies

There are some good ideas here, just not enough frights.
Henry Fitzherbert-Daily Express

An old-fashioned scary movie; a sci-fi horror that is a workmanlike piece of film-making, with some effective shocks, cheerfully borrowing from other sources, most obviously Spielberg.
Peter Bradshaw-Guardian [UK]

If the dour home-invasion chiller Dark Skies needs one thing, it's aliens with more novel ideas.
Tim Robey-Daily Telegraph

Dark Skies is a good story, well told and one that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Stefan Pape-HeyUGuys

A psychological thriller aiming to avoid the straitjacket of formula.
Tim Evans-Sky Movies

By parading out every tired trope from the sci-fi and horror genres, Dark Skies is unintentional self-parody, and quite dreadful indeed.
Shaun Munro-What Culture

Dark Skies is a watchable supernatural thriller with a handful of effectively creepy moments, but it's let down by a clichéd script, a lack of imagination and a soporific lead performance from Keri Russell.
Matthew Turner-ViewLondon

Dark Skies sustains tension by grounding most of the family's torment in reality.
Damon Smith-Birmingham Post

Somehow this mishmash of borrowed ideas all comes together to create an unexpectedly solid genre movie.
Rebecca Davies-Film4

A protracted and tedious build up leads to a mildly unnerving pay-off in this largely uninspired horror movie.
Ben Rawson-Jones-Digital Spy

In this doomy surburban horror the real terrors don't come from space.
Ken McIntyre-Total Film

A tepid attempt at making an alien abduction yarn into a Paranormal Activity movie (a dubious enough notion at best) -- and a boring little movie.
Ken Hanke-Mountain Xpress (Asheville, NC)

...now more than ever, terror begins at home -- especially when the evil forces are ruining expensive cuts of meat and overturning gallon jugs of milk onto the floor.
